Frauenstimmen

For the 50th anniversary of women's right to vote in Switzerland, the CSLS wants to explore the question of what it means to have a voice and what women in Switzerland use their voices for. Through a targeted social media campaign, we aim to collect as many opinions or 'voices' as possible from women all over Switzerland in relation to the concept of 'voice'.

What do we need our physical voice for, and what does it mean to be able to express ourselves acoustically? Do we like our voices or do we not like to hear ourselves speak or sing? What does it mean for us to have a voice in a more metaphorical sense? To be heard, read and perceived? To be part of a discourse? And finally, what does our political voice mean to us? The right to have a say and a vote?
