Introduction to Praat

The workshop will be divided into three sections. The first section will focus on speech visualization (e.g., waveform, spectrogram, F0 curve). The second section will cover speech annotation using TextGrids. Finally, the third section will explore feature extraction through the use of scripts.

Please install Praat before the workshop (https://praat.org/) and don't forget to bring headphones.

The MAXQDA Starter Workshop begins with a brief overview of the programme interface. The content is then covered in a mixture of demonstrations and independent, guided exercises. The workshop focuses on the practical application of the functions presented using sample data. The workshop offers an opportunity to ask questions, particularly about how MAXQDA can be used to implement your own research projects and chosen research methods.

The workshop will be held in German.
