Workshop
This workshop is a hands‐on introduction to designing, creating
and operating a database (DB) for small to mid‐sized linguistic
research projects. It is geared primarily towards linguists who
want to work with complex and/or large datasets with little or no
experience in database management.
Participants are asked to bring a laptop computer to class. We will
make use of Excel™ and FileMaker™, which can be obtained at
student rates on‐line (contact us for information). The general
sessions will be conducted in English (or alternatively German).
